On the SEXY campaign trail!

DA BOYZ:

“At the bank, the guy at the tellers window as we wrote up our banking was Richard Schwartz, a local builder and local historian/author who wrote “Berkeley 1900”, and of the crews Bob had come into BNG to fix the back warehouse floor. Corey recognized him. He was giving the tellers these new buttons he had made to publicize his new book, Eccentrics, Heroes, and Cutthroats of Old Berkeley, http://www.richardschwartz.info/Eccentrics.html and he gave us one, “I’m A Berkeley Hero”. Corey showed him his buttons, “Moore/Block” and the first FM for Prez button, both of which he was wearing, and Richard was curious. Corey told him that it was Frank Moore, and described him … “Oh, the guy who is on TV?” Yeah! He gave a knowing look … he had obviously seen his share of BTV late night, because he also knew who Dr. Suzy was, and he smiled, chuckled … Corey gave him Frank’s platform, and he read the first few lines. He looked up and said, “Thanks! This is gonna be interesting!”

Then we were up at Zazu’s window. We had given her a platform a while back, but she said apologetically that she hadn’t read it, but had just come across it again the other day … we showed her the new Moore/Block button … “Who is that?” Dr. Susan Block, do you know who that is? She turned red and looked down and started miscounting our money … yes, she knew … she and her boyfriend watch her show all the time … For the rest of our transaction, she was like that, miscounted another time! She never miscounts ever. And then she gave us cookies before we headed out! We gave her a Moore/Block button, and she said she was definitely going to tell her boyfriend about this. “

Shaman’s Den: Carl Bryant grills Frank on his platform

Subject: Re: LAST NIGHT’S SHOW

Hey Frank
I really enjoyed the show. You are very insightful and a powerful person. You bring out the best in all people. Most people have no idea that your knowledge and ability to express your ideas are what they had in mind and could not verbalize or communicate like you Frank!! Thanks

Carl

shucks, carl! yep, most people “know” it somewhere deep inside themselves…in the back of their minds…deep in their bodies, hearts, souls, whatever. but they have been conditioned out of their abilty to access and express it. it’s my job as an artist…and as president…to access and express it…and to unplug the conditioning so they can access/express it themselves. i don’t sell people short. i don’t look down on people…i don’t talk down to them. i have high expectations about people. they tend to live up to hign expectations. high expectations tend to force people to live up! but if they don’t…well, i have my ways!

btw, i’d take a bullet for you too!

another amazing show wednesday!

brother gerald s., an ex-black panther, brought 2 socially/politically aware rappers/comix artists..

ERIKA:

“Wow it was a great show, sweet guys who carry hope and vision and fiery energy for change, you could see and feel the change right before us and they really got Frank right away. They liked Frank’s platform and said that much of his platform is what they sing about. Their comic was neat and their whole concept of the super hero within. There music sent shivers of change out the into the atmosphere!”

More about last night’s show

ERIKA:

“I washed some dishes and then told Carl all about the anniversary five day party and then he told me about a film he had seen that was made by older Native Americans and I told him about the Ozzy video. The show started, two hours of amazing talk about Frank’s campaign. Wow!! Carl took it all so seriously and was so animated asking Frank specific questions about how things would work and Frank always had a clear answer as we could see the possibly of transformation right before us. The talk about changes to radio stations and tv stations making them available to every community was amazing, then on to taxes and giving everyone 1,000 a month, so human, so much for the people. It was a rockin debate and so amazing to get it all out there, Carl as Frank’s body guard saying he would take a bullet to save Frank as it would make things better for his children.”

LAST NIGHT’S SHOW

DA BOYZ:

“It was an amazing show for all of the reasons you were talking about afterward … Carl had done his homework, and in his easy jovial way had totally penetrated Frank’s platform, had lots of questions and lots of insight into what Frank was doing. That he said he would take a bullet for Frank to allow this vision for society to materialize for his children was mind blowing. It was really amazing the kind of passion that Frank’s platform taps into in people … with Carl it is always burning … in others, it is like a kind of awakening. It was so neat to hear Carl and Frank playfully break down the issues that the platform addresses, and how the basic changes that the platform calls for had such far-reaching effects, that it felt like you would only be scratching the surface of the profound changes that would occur if any of these ideas were truly put into action.”

FRIDAY’S SHOW

DA BOYZ:

“What a great show! We loved Del’s (Goldfarb) songs and his repartee with Frank was so much fun … you could tell he was really enjoying himself. Like Frank said later, you could just sit and listen to him tell stories and sing his songs for hours, but then the whole show shifted with the interview, and you could imagine the conversation going into so many different areas so easily, he was so there and had so much to talk about, with a lot of passion. Loved the reading of the platform with Frank’s and Del’s interjections … it was amazing to hear the recognition of people who have had that kind of life experience, hearing Frank’s platform, and resonating with it so easily. It was common sense for the common person. Simple and doable! “
